mental health off the mat

Every quarter, you are invited to join us for Mental Health off the Mat.

This workshop is an exploration of mental health and therapy as it connects to our

yoga practice and the yoga sutras.

This workshop is led by Melanie Dyer, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She has been practicing in the mental health field in some form or another for nearly a decade, and her practice has included things like crisis work, advocacy, and long-term therapy. Currently, she specializes in working with highly anxious individuals with tendencies toward perfectionism, people pleasing, and intellectualization.

February topic

People Pleasing: Why We Do It, and How to Stop It

This workshop is 60 minutes and composed of four parts: lecture/orientation to the topic, interactive activity, q&a, and a guided meditation related to the topic.

This class is ideal for anyone, but it might be a particularly great place to start for anyone who is at the beginning of an intentional wellness journey, who doesn’t know much about mental health topics but is eager to learn, or who wants to see what this whole therapy thing is all about.

saturday, February 22nd | 1-2pm
Tickets: $30 | Members Get 15% off!
